Profile
I am a postgraduate researcher at the Earth Surface Science Institute. I previously completed my undergraduate in Chemistry at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia) and joint masters in Marine Environment from Université de Bordeaux (France), Universidad del Pais Vasco (Spain), and University of Southampton (UK).
My project aims to understand the geochemical behaviour of oxyanion-forming elements in the freshwater system. The contamination from elements like As, V, Mo, Sb, and Cr has been increasing over the years, along with the increasing utilisation of minerals in our digital society. These elements will bond with oxygen in an environment with high pH, such as alkaline mine tailings, thus increasing their mobility. However, their fate, behaviour, and ecotoxicity are not well understood.
This project is funded by NERC Panorama DTP.
