Harry Ware

After a rigorous recruitment process, I found myself lucky enough to have secured a year in industry at Warner Bros. Entertainment based in central London at the UK and regional EMEA business headquarters. I worked as the Corporate Social Communications and Public Affairs team. Fulfilling this role required working cross-divisionally as well as with external partners and stakeholders, meaning that I grew to thoroughly understand the working and operations of a successful, global corporations -  something that you cannot learn without fully immersing yourself in a business.

Undertaking a year industry placement at Warner Bros. was an incredible experience. In an increasingly competitive job market gaining 12 months of hand on experience and developing key skills in a fast-paced working environment is invaluable. A placement year teaches you crucial, transferable business skills, preparing you for a job not only in the specific sector you worked in but across a range of industries and professions. As a result of my year with a stronger work ethic and drive to succeed academically, as well as beyond to future employment.
