Profile

I am a PhD student in Data Analytics & Society CDT and affiliated with the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA) at the University of Leeds. I completed my MSc in Transport and City Planning at University College London (UCL) in 2021, and I started as a PhD student in Fine Arts at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University in 2022. However, my academic journey led me to discover my true passion for urban analytics. This realization prompted me to withdraw from Shanghai University and transition to my current pursuit of a PhD degree in the field of transport at the University of Leeds, where I am excited to continue my academic journey and explore my research interests in greater depth.

My current research focuses on changes in travel behaviour within urban transport systems, particularly in response to various disruptions, events, incidents, and closures. My research aims to collect and analyse data to develop agent-based models, predicting how people adapt their travel behaviour when faced with disruptions. This project will collaborate with the Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) to provide practical application and contextual knowledge. This research has the potential to assist transportation authorities in improving their services and promoting changes in travel behaviour.
