Profile
I am a global change geographer with a particular interest in earth observation, peatlands and biogeoscience. Currently a PhD candidate funded by the NERC Panorama DTP, with the project titlted “Remote Sensing of Northern Peatlands”. The overarching aim of my research is to explore changes in northern peatland environments from remote sensing sources. This project will use a powerful combination of remote sensing techniques at a range of scales, and instrumental climate data, to study recent changes in northern peatlands. Specifically, detecting and quantifying changes in vegetation, surface wetness and geomorphology and establishing the role of recent climate change in driving these changes.
