Profile

I am a PhD student in the School of Geography at the University of Leeds. As my research project, I am investigating the genotoxic impact of microplastic pollution on Daphnia pulex – a small and ecologically important crustacean species that are common in freshwater habitats and often used as a model species to study ecotoxicity.

Prior to starting my PhD, I worked in a cytogenetics lab for a large Contract Research Organisation, having obtained an MSc in Ecology and Conservation from Lancaster University and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Derby.
