Profile
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working on regional climate modelling for the PEGASUS (Producing EnerGy and preventing hAzards from SUrface water Storage in Peru) project. I am simulating the recent past and future climate over the Urubamba, Vilcabamba and Vilcanota Cordilleras in Peru. This climate data will be used by colleagues to investigate changes to glacier lake sizes and potential resulting hazards and changes to hydropower production. I will also be using the climate data to predict changes to the permafrost in the region.
Before coming to Leeds I was based at the British Antarctic Survey, working on the Peru GROWS (Peruvian Glacier Retreat and its Impact on Water Security) project, providing climate modelling output, for the Rio Santa River Basin in Peru. I also completed my PhD at the British Antarctic survey, investigating valley circulations and land-atmosphere interaction in Himalaya.

My research interests are in high-resolution climate modelling, mountain weather and climate, and land-atmosphere interactions, particularly over glaciers.
