Profile
I am a double Ph.D. under a programme between the University of Leeds and Beijing Jiaotong University, with the guidance of Prof. Charisma and Dr. Thomas from the Leeds and Prof. Yacan Wang from BJTU. I recieved my first Ph.D. in Applied Economics - Transport Economics from BJTU and my second Ph.D. in Transport Studies from Leeds. I am now working under the project NEXUS.
My research topics focus on the field of transport studies, ranging from sustainable urban transportation and transportation decarbonisation to behaviour and experiment economics in transportation. My work aims to investigate travellers’ behavioural mechanisms in responding to transport policies using data-driven methods and contribute to innovative policy design. I am now working on leveraging emerging data sources (e.g. Virtual-reality experiment data, physiological data, smart card data, etc.) for travel behaviour modelling and innovative carbon reduction TDM design (e.g. NUDGE, personal carbon trading, etc.).
My studies use a combination of multiple methods, such as survey-stated preference experiments, field experiments, VR experiments, big data analysis and discrete choice models.
Research interests
My main areas of interest are:
- Understanding the decision-making process
- Understanding individual heterogeneous preferences through multi-source data and designing differentiated policies
- Collecting and modelling innovative data
- Conducting interdisciplinary research bridging behavioural economics and transport studies.
