National Pig Centre inspires on net zero farming

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) highlighted the National Pig Centre's sustainable agriculture research.

DESNZ visited the University’s National Pig Centre in North Yorkshire to see first-hand the centre’s research into sustainable farming practices. 

The Department has produced a video highlighting the farm's research into decarbonising agriculture, sustainable, efficient farming and the impacts of academic-industry collaboration.

The National Pig Centre opened in 2019 in partnership with the Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock

It facilitates collaboration across disciplines, including the environment, food science and security, biological science and physical sciences.
