Profile
I'm currently Professor of Petroleum Geoengineering at the University of Leeds and CEO of PETRIVA, which is a recently established spin-out company providing consultancy services and data-mining/visualization software. I was awarded a PhD in low temperature geochemistry in 1993. I then worked for Rock Deformation Research Ltd (now Schlumberger) where I spent around 15 years conducting research and consultancy work on the impact of faults on fluid flow in petroleum reservoirs. In the last 15 years, I have become involved in research projects that integrate workflows and software in the geology, petrophysics, geophysics, geomechanics and petroleum engineering disciplines, which I apply to problems such as CO2 storage.
