Marie will present a whistle-stop tour of what microsimulation modelling is, the process of model builds, different model applications and its function as a visualisation tool during the planning process.

Biog: Marie currently works as a Transport Planner at Mott MacDonald in Manchester and her work is primarily focused on highway and public transport design. She studied her undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds in the School of Earth and Environment and in her final year opted to pick a module in transport offered by ITS. She undertook a MSc in Transport Planning and the Environment as it was a great opportunity to utilise the knowledge gained from her undergraduate degree whilst also learning about something which was completely new. She has had the opportunity to work on HS2, which has provided a fantastic insight into a range of different aspects of transport planning and modelling work and the challenges and complexities of a large-scale project..Read Marie’s profile here.
