Dr Zihao An

Profile

I am a Lecturer in Transport Planning at the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS). My research bridges transport and mobility studies with broader societal issues. I focus on topics such as the societal implications of transport policies and innovations, drivers of sustainable mobility, and challenges in planning for quality of life. Before rejoining ITS in 2024, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge and at ITS. I received my PhD from ITS in 2021, with a doctoral thesis on multimodality.

I am always on the lookout for good prospective PhD students. If you have a project idea that relates to my research, or would like to hear project suggestions from me, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I would very much welcome cooperation with other researchers interested in similar fields.
