Profile

I have recently joined ITS as a post-doctoral research fellow working with Dr. Zia Wadud and Professor Jillian Anable on the research project assessing the impact of vehicle automation on the decarbonization goals of the UK. Previously, I completed my PhD at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur advised by Dr. Arkopal Kishore Goswami where I developed a methodological framework for assessing the impacts of ride-hailing/sharing services on travel behaviour and its implications on de-carbonization. I had also been involved in a collaborative project (SPARC) with Prof. Charisma F Choudhury and Prof. Zia Wadud from the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds. More broadly, my expertise includes analysing human choice behaviour through econometric and machine learning methods leveraging traditional as well as big data. Prior to my current position at IIT, I worked at the Ranbir & Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design & Management while obtaining a Master of Technology (MTech) with a specialisation in Infrastructure Design & Management (2018) at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Besides, I was an exchange student doing my Masters thesis work at the Technical University of Munich under the tutelage of Prof. Rolf Moeckel from 2017-18. I also earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) in 2016 from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology Shibpur.
