Dr Afzal Ahmed

Profile

I completed my Ph.D. from the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, UK, and completed my MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi, USA. Currently, I work as a Teaching Fellow at the Institute for Transport Studies and teach various undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to Transportation Engineering. I’ve published around 35 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. I’ve worked as an Associate Professor & Co-Chair at the Department of Urban & Infrastructure Engineering, NED University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan.

Research interests

My research interests include traffic flow modelling, traffic control optimization, road safety, and sustainable urban transport.
