I began to analyse places around me more, which has shaped my interest in understanding the direction of Urban Planning and Design in the Middle East in relation to transport and mobility as it is an understudied region within the field.

My undergraduate dissertation titled Urban Sprawl and Planning Challenges in the UAE: Governance, Real Estate, and Mobility in the Dubai Metropolitan Area explored governance approaches towards tackling challenges in the country, using primary and secondary research, the research was able to provide policy recommendations.
