Alumnus Yazan Madi wins RTA prize, March 2018

Yazen Madi has been awarded the title of "The Best Project for 2017".

Congratulations to Yazan Madi who was recently awarded the title of “The Best Project Manager for 2017” by the Rail Agency at the Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), UAE for his role as the project manager for the Dubai Tram Extension Project. The project will provide an effective and integrated transport system to the residents of Dubai and once in operation it is expected to serve thousands of passengers during rush hours. Effective communication, teamwork and leadership were elemental to the success of the project. The award was presented by H.E. Abdul Mohsin Ibrahim Younes, CEO of RTA's Rail Agency. Yazan graduated from ITS in 2014 MSc (Eng) Transport Planning and Engineering, and said that “Studying in the UK at the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) at the University of Leeds provided me with the required technical knowledge, expertise and transferable skills for successful career in Transport.”
