Abstract: Ahmad and Lucia will present their experiences of gaining employment after graduation from ITS. They will offer their advice on what they felt went well during the recruitment and interview process and things they would do differently. They will give an insight into their early career highlights and how their careers have developed since graduating.
Biog: Lucia originally studied BSc Sustainability and Environmental Management at the School of Earth and Environment, she was later a recipient of a Brian Large Bursary Fund and passed her Masters degree with distinction. She then went on to work for Jacobs as a Graduate Transport Planner. She is a certified member of CHIT and The Transport Planning Society. Read more about Lucia here.
Ahmad is currently a Senior Highways Development Engineer at Leeds City Council, dealing with various planning applications, new developments and highway schemes. He is an active member of the ITS Professional Mentoring scheme and was offered his first job from successfully interviewing at the ITS Employer Days. Read more about Ahmad here.
