TRANSITION Clean Air Network, Leeds Subcontract

The TRANSITION Clean Air Network is a University of Birmingham-led collaboration funded as part of NERC's UK Research & Innovation Strategic Priorities Fund (SPF) Clean Air Programme.

The Programme aims to bring together the UK’s world-class research base and support high-quality, interdisciplinary research and innovation to develop practical solutions for today’s air quality issues and equip the UK to proactively tackle future air quality. The TRANSITION Clean Air Network, which is one of several initiatives set up within the Programme, is focused on air quality and health impacts associated with the transport sector.

TRANSITION Clean Air Network team and project partners work on a broad and diverse range of activities including:

  1. Network summits

  2. Challenges and Solutions workshops

  3. Discovery and Innovation studies

  4. Mobilisation and Exchange placements

  5. Public Outreach Activities

  6. Provide input to other interdisciplinary networks and Clean Air activities across the SPF Programme.
