Opportunity Areas - Impact Evaluation

Work for this evaluation involves collaboration between York Consulting, University of Leeds, NEF Consulting and National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER). Working involving Dr Myles Gould (School of Geography) has as its research objective the construction of aggregated, disaggregate and multilevel statistical models to capture the added value of the OA programme on educational and related outcomes. The statistical work aims to employ a quasi-experimental design involving comparator areas and difference-in-difference (DiD) analysis. The evaluation seek to conduct analysis at three different levels of aggregation: area, school and pupil.
