Yoshita Sharma

Yoshita Sharma is a Leeds alumna, having studied her Masters in the School of Food Science and Nutrition in 2021/2022. She now works in the Food industry as a Quality Assistant at Dacsa Ltd, a Food Ingredients industrial group.

Yoshita studied MSc in Food Quality and Innovation – a programme that combines food science, consumer behaviour and advanced technology. Here, she speaks about her experience of the course at Leeds:

“This challenging course gave me a thorough understanding of the complexity involved in ensuring food quality and safety while also encouraging innovation in the food business. Working at Dacsa Ltd

“Currently, I work as a Food Quality Assistant at Dacsa Limited. In my position, I monitor the quality control processes, ensuring that our products satisfy the highest safety and quality standards. My routine duties include conducting allergen tests, creating quality management systems, and calibrating NIR devices. The skills and knowledge I acquired while pursuing my MSc at the University have been critical to my professional success, allowing me to actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of food quality and safety in my organisation.”
