What have you been doing since finishing your studies?
I started a PhD right after finishing my Masters at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
What experiences at Leeds do you think have particularly helped with your career?
It introduced me to what a research university was all about, and the program itself clarified how I could engage in meaningful work.
Why did you choose to study your particular course and why did you choose the University of Leeds?
The ecological economics program at Leeds is unique and incredible. I came to ecological economics because I was dissatisfied with approaches to climate action, economics, and social injustices in other fields.
What was the best aspect of your course?
Discovering the diverse and important work being done in the field, working with absolutely brilliant researchers, lasting friendships (cliche, but also true).
What would you say to students thinking about studying your course?
Do it now. The timing is urgent, the work is meaningful, and a future is still possible.
